September 2026 – July 2027
Course Description: this course is for therapists who have completed the first year 63 hours of didactic instruction in Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP), as set-out by the International Society of Transference-Focused Psychotherapy for accreditation. It aims to enhance participants’ understanding and skills in applying TFP. Most participants are likely to have begun treating a patient or patients with TFP.
The course involves attending a weekly 90-minute Zoom seminar held on Fridays from 10.15 am to 11:45 pm UK time. Each seminar involves a presentation by a course participant, supervised by the course leaders with reference to TFP theory or practice. The trainers will encourage input from the other participants.
Attendees present written information about the patient and show a section of a video of a therapy session, having obtained the patient’s written consent for the recording to be discussed with professional colleagues. A fragment of accompanying transcript can be helpful but is not required.
Those who attend at least 80% of the sessions will receive a certificate.
